1. About Our Service

CoachDayTrips.co.uk ("we", "us", "our") operates as a marketplace platform connecting customers with independent coach tour operators ("Operators"). We facilitate bookings but do not operate coach services ourselves.
1.2 Operator Responsibility
Each trip is operated by an independent, licensed coach operator. The Operator is responsible for:
- The safe operation and maintenance of vehicles
- Employing qualified, licensed drivers
- Maintaining appropriate insurance and licenses
- Delivering the service as described
- Customer service during the trip
1.3 Our Role
CoachDayTrips.co.uk provides:
- A platform to search and compare trips
- Secure online booking and payment processing
- Digital ticket issuance
- Customer support for booking-related queries
- A communication channel between customers and Operators
2. Booking Terms
2.1 Making a Booking
When you complete a booking:
- You must provide accurate and complete information
- You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking
- You are responsible for ensuring all details are correct before confirming
- A booking is confirmed once payment is received and confirmation email is sent
2.2 Contract Formation
Your contract for the coach trip is formed directly with the Operator, not with CoachDayTrips.co.uk. We act as an agent on behalf of the Operator to process your booking.
2.3 Booking Confirmation
You will receive:
- An immediate email confirmation with booking reference
- Digital tickets that can be presented on your mobile device
- Trip details including pickup points and times
- Operator contact information
2.4 Pricing
All prices are:
- Displayed in British Pounds (GBP)
- Inclusive of VAT where applicable
- Per person unless otherwise stated
- Subject to availability and may change before booking confirmation
3. Payment
3.1 Payment Methods
We accept major debit and credit cards. All payments are processed securely through Stripe, our payment processor.
3.2 Payment Processing
- Full payment is required at the time of booking
- Your payment is held securely and transferred to the Operator
- We charge a small booking fee to cover platform costs
- Receipt will be provided via email
3.3 Failed Payments
If payment fails, your booking will not be confirmed. You will need to attempt booking again with valid payment details.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
4.1 Cancellation by Customer
Cancellation policies vary by Operator and trip. The specific policy for your booking is displayed during checkout and in your confirmation email. Generally:
- More than 14 days before departure: Full refund minus booking fee
- 7-14 days before departure: 50% refund
- Less than 7 days before departure: No refund
- No-show: No refund
Important: Always check the specific cancellation policy for your trip before booking. Some trips may have different terms, particularly special events or peak season travel.
4.2 How to Cancel
To request a cancellation:
- Contact us through your booking confirmation email
- Provide your booking reference number
- Cancellation must be confirmed in writing
- Refunds are processed within 10-14 business days
4.3 Cancellation by Operator
If an Operator cancels your trip:
- You will receive full refund including all fees
- You will be notified as soon as possible
- Alternative dates or trips may be offered
- We are not liable for any consequential losses
4.4 Weather & Force Majeure
Trips may be cancelled or modified due to severe weather, road closures, or other events beyond the Operator's control. In such cases, Operators will offer alternatives or refunds at their discretion.
5. Changes to Bookings
5.1 Customer-Initiated Changes
To change your booking (date, pickup point, passenger details):
- Contact us or the Operator directly as soon as possible
- Changes are subject to availability
- Amendment fees may apply
- Changes within 48 hours of departure may not be possible
5.2 Operator-Initiated Changes
Operators reserve the right to make minor changes to:
- Pickup times (with reasonable notice)
- Route or itinerary due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances
- Vehicle type (provided a suitable alternative is provided)
Significant changes will be communicated to you, and you may request a refund if the changes are unacceptable.
6. Travel Requirements
6.1 Passenger Conduct
All passengers must:
- Arrive at pickup points at least 10 minutes before scheduled departure
- Present valid booking confirmation (digital or printed)
- Bring valid photo ID if required
- Follow driver and guide instructions at all times
- Behave responsibly and respectfully to other passengers, staff, and destinations
6.2 Right to Refuse Travel
Operators may refuse travel or remove passengers who:
- Arrive late after departure
- Appear intoxicated or under the influence of drugs
- Behave in a disruptive, abusive, or dangerous manner
- Fail to comply with safety requirements
No refund will be provided in such cases.
6.3 Children
- Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult
- Car seats/boosters must be provided by parents if required by law
- Age restrictions may apply to certain trips - check individual listings
6.4 Accessibility
If you have mobility requirements or need special assistance, please contact the Operator before booking to ensure they can accommodate your needs.
6.5 Luggage
Each passenger is typically allowed:
- One small bag to keep with you on board
- Limited hold luggage space (check with Operator)
- No dangerous or prohibited items
7. Liability & Insurance
7.1 Operator Liability
The Operator is responsible for:
- Safe transport and vehicle maintenance
- Holding appropriate public liability insurance
- Compliance with all relevant regulations
7.2 Platform Liability
CoachDayTrips.co.uk's liability is limited to:
- Facilitating bookings accurately
- Processing payments securely
- Providing customer support for booking queries
We are not liable for:
- The actions or omissions of Operators
- Delays, cancellations, or service quality issues
- Personal injury or loss during trips
- Loss or damage to personal belongings
- Indirect or consequential losses
7.3 Maximum Liability
Our maximum liability for any claim relating to our platform services is limited to the total value of your booking.
7.4 Travel Insurance
We strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance to cover cancellation, medical emergencies, and personal belongings.

9. Intellectual Property
9.1 Website Content
All content on CoachDayTrips.co.uk including text, images, logos, and design is protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights.

You may:

13. General Provisions

13.2 Severability
